Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Vietnam War Veteran James Nicoletti.   For James, life was very hard and he was losing hope.  He had $100 to his name, hadn’t eaten for days and was sleeping in a bathtub.  At his lowest he called a crisis hotline for help and that’s when things changed for him.  When officer Ed Tovar and his colleagues arrived, they gave the veteran a hug, pooled together their money to buy James groceries and toiletries, and they were so moved they started a Facebook page and hundreds of dollars in donations and other items started to pour in for James. Brought to tears James says he now considers all who helped family. Thank you to the officers and all who donated and thank you James for your service.
