A local task force has launched a web page to help aviation workers who will be affected by the layoffs announced by Spirit AeroSystems after the decision by Boeing to suspend production of the 737 MAX jetliner.

The Aerospace Task Force includes the city of Wichita, Sedgwick County, and over a dozen organizations.  The web page will collect information from over 20 other websites to help aviation workers find jobs and services faster.

The areas covered by the web page include finding a job, training and education, community resources, help with loan payments and mortgages, health care, unemployment resources, and federal program support.

The web page connects to other sites such as the state’s web page that was recently created by the Kansas Department of Labor, and it connects to information on open jobs and job fairs through the Workforce Alliance of South Central Kansas and the United Way of the Plains.

The web page is available at www.AirCapitaloftheWorld.com/commitment
