Star Spangled Salute: A Kansas Veteran With No Family Will Be Laid To Rest Today

Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Vietnam Veteran retired Sergeant David R. Loften.  David served his country in the Army from 1969 to 1989 and recently passed away at his home in Junction City.  With no known immediate or extended family, David will be laid to rest today at 1:30p at the Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery in Fort Riley near Manhattan. All Veterans and for that matter, anyone who wishes to attend David’s memorial, are invited.  A special thank you to the Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery which was able to identify that David was deserving of a military honors funeral service. Thank you David for your service.
