A 23-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman he met on Tinder.
Shortly before 11:30 Sunday night, Wichita Police were called to a home in the 500 block of South Robin, near Maple and Tyler. A 20-year-old woman had turned up at the home asking for help.
She told police that she had met a man on the dating app Tinder and had agreed to go to his house in the 500 block of South Tyler. Police say the suspect sexually assaulted her and choked her during the attack, causing her minor injuries.
Police arrested the man at his home a short time later. He was booked into jail on charges of rape, aggravated battery, criminal threat, and furnishing alcohol to a child.
KFDI News is not identifying the man until he has been formally charged. Police say it is important to take precautions before meeting someone you met online.
