Snow continued to fall across south central Kansas into the afternoon and evening hours Tuesday, creating slick driving conditions.

There were a number of reports of vehicles sliding off roadways in Harvey, Sedgwick and Sumner counties as slick spots developed on the major highways.    There was also a report of a vehicle sliding off a ramp at I-135 and Harry in south Wichita.

Driving conditions were expected to get worse into the evening and nighttime hours, with temperatures dropping below freezing.

The snow was expected to end around midnight.  A winter weather advisory was extended until midnight for Reno, Harvey, Sedgwick, Kingman, Harper, Sumner, Rice and Barton counties.

A spotter in Kingman reported around 2.2 inches of snow late Tuesday afternoon.
