Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Marine Veteran from Texas John Fannin. John is part of a 4-man rowing team called “Fight Oar Die”, spelled O-A-R. The team is made up of 2 Marine Veterans, an Army Sergeant and a Navy Lieutenant. John and his team are just about done with their 49 day, 3,000-mile journey rowing across the Atlantic Ocean as part of the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge. They are rowing to raise awareness for the many challenges military Veterans face during and after their service on a daily basis.
