Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Kansas Army Veteran Annie Henson and the local non-profit K9’s For Heroes who helped her. Annie joined the Army in 2011, and now suffers from PTSD. She says she doesn’t do well in crowds or with people in her personal space so she tends to avoid going out. That should all change thanks to her gift from K9’s for Heroes, who just gifted a fully trained service dog named “Hope”, free of charge, to Annie. K9’s for Heroes has a goal of 20 dogs for 20 Kansas Veterans by the end of the year. Thank you K9’s for Heroes and thank you Annie for your service.
