President Trump, in an address to the nation Wednesday on the coronavirus outbreak, announced a 30-day suspension of all travel from Europe, except for the United Kingdom, beginning at midnight Friday.

Trump also announced a number of financial initiatives to help workers affected by the virus.  He said he will ask Congress to provide financial help for workers and businesses.

The President is also advising Americans to wash their hands, cover their coughs and sneezes and stay home if they’re sick.  He is advising senior citizens to avoid non-essential travel and crowded areas. He’s also calling on nursing homes to suspend visits that are medically unnecessary.

The White House also announced that the President is canceling planned trips to Colorado and Nevada out of an “abundance of caution.”
