The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has reported two new cases of coronavirus, bringing the state’s total to eight.
The new presumptive-positive cases are a woman from Johnson County and a man from Franklin County. Johnson County now has five cases, with Wyandotte, Butler and Franklin counties reporting one case each. The Butler County case involves a 72-year-old man who is being treated at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
KDHE says 135 people have tested negative for the COVID-19 virus.
Other labs in the state are beginning to test for the virus, and they’re asked to send their results to KDHE.
