Wichita’s United Way organization is working with the city to accept donations for the local coronavirus response.
Donations of money, bottled water, hygiene products and cleaning products can be taken to the United Way of the Plains, 245 North Water Street, Monday through Friday from 8 to 5. Checks can be mailed to that address, 245 North Water, Wichita KS 67202, and people should write “Pandemic Fund” in the memo line on the check.
Donations of clothing and food will not be accepted.
The items will be distributed to people who have self-quarantined or to vulnerable populations, such as senior citizens.
People can call 211 to find local nonprofit agencies accepting items. They can also text ICTResponse to 41444 to donate.
