The Kansas Department of Health and Environment is now reporting 21 cases of the COVID-19 virus in the state, with five new cases announced Wednesday.
Johnson County has 11 cases, Wyandotte County has five cases, and Leavenworth County has two confirmed cases. There is one case each in Butler, Douglas and Franklin counties.
Health officials in Ford and Miami counties are treating positive cases, but the patients are from out of state, and they will be counted in the number of cases reported by their home states.
