Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Topeka’s American Legion Post 1 and the flags of all the Veterans inside. Due to drop in membership, Topeka’s American Legion Post 1 is moving out of it’s building and in doing so, they need to find the families of the flags that were donated. The flags that represented fallen heroes, ones who gave their lives, put their lives on the line, to protect our rights. It’s the flags that covered the caskets and are from funeral services of local military members. If you have ties to Topeka and think you can help, you can call (785) 267-1923.
