The Kroger chain of supermarkets, which includes the Dillons stores in Kansas, will begin putting limits on the number of customers allowed inside the stores at any one time.
The company plans to reduce the maximum customer capacity in each of its stores by 50 percent, starting Tuesday, April 7th. That will allow for better social distancing as a precaution against the coronavirus.
Kroger officials said the stores are committed to preventive measures to protect the health and safety of workers, customers and communities. Dillons employees are now wearing protective masks and gloves.
Walmart and Target stores have adopted similar social distancing measures in the past few days.
