Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors World War II Veteran Lou. Lou and his wife are both residents of the Soldiers and Sailors home in Pennsylvania and the other day the Pennsylvania Department of Veterans Affairs shared a really sweet video. It all started when Covid-19 created concerned in the assisted living facility so social distancing was implemented. Not to be completely out of touch from his wife of 38 years, Lou sat outside her room, separated by a glass door and serenaded her with his harmonica playing. I wonder if he played “10 Feet Away” from Keith Whitley? Thank you for your service Lou.
