Wesley Woodlawn Hospital to Suspend Inpatient Services

Wesley Healthcare announced today (Friday) that it will be suspending inpatient services at Wesley Woodlawn Hospital. This is a direct response to the Coronavirus outbreak in Sedgwick County.

The decision will allow crucial physicians, staff, and resources to be moved to the Wesley Hillside Campus, which has been leading the COVID-19 response. The suspension of in-patient services is expected to last at least 60 days, and moving key staff to the Hillside location will better prepare the community’s medical professionals for the virus’s peak–which is expected to happen later in the month.

During this time, Wesley Woodlawn Hospital’s Emergency Room, Imaging, and Lab Services will be remaining open. New patients arriving will be transferred to Wesley Hillside over the weekend, while existing patients will be transferred on Monday (4/13).
