Kansas reports more cases of coronavirus

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment reported Saturday that the state has 1,790 cases of the new coronavirus, with 86 deaths.

Cases have been reported in 66 counties.  KDHE said 383 of 1,482 cases were hospitalizations, and there were 15,886 negative tests.   Patients have ranged in age from newborn to 99 years.    There are 944 cases involving female patients and 839 cases are men.

Sedgwick County was reporting 238 cases of coronavirus, with three deaths.  There are 111 people in the county who have recovered.    Butler County is now reporting 12 cases, Reno County has 13, and Harvey County remains at 5 cases.

The largest numbers of cases in Kansas have been in the Kansas City area.   Johnson County has 369 cases, Wyandotte County has 412 and Leavenworth County reported 123 cases.

Ford County in southwest Kansas now has 107 cases of COVID-19.

More than 706,000 cases have been confirmed in the United States.
