Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors 60-year old Army Veteran Anthony Griggs. Anthony, stopped playing golf a while back. He loved the game but he was becoming a little bored with it. That was, until a friend suggested that he try and play with just a putter. That’s right, from tee shot to final putt, nothing but a putter. While some might consider this crazy, Anthony was up to the challenge and recently he won a Golfweek Amateur Tour event, shooting an 84, with nothing but a putter that he bought at a local Goodwill for $2.99. He won by 6 strokes. Congratulations Anthony and thank you for your service.
