Sedgwick County is one of the 13 counties seeing an increase in Covid-19 cases, and Gov. Laura Kelly blamed the County Commissioners for not enforcing social distancing guidelines.
Kelly said the increase in numbers for Sedgwick County is not a coincidence by not enforcing social distancing guidelines since May 27th.
Sedgwick County reported 215 active cases, Monday, an increase of 36 since Friday.
KDHE Secretary, Dr. Lee Norman is working with Sedgwick County Local Health Officer, Dr. Garold Minns on the case, and said Kansas should continue social distancing measures, wear masks and listen to experts, despite whether or not leaders decide not to enforce the Governor’s guidelines.
