NASA is ready to go back to Mars. The Mars Perseverance Rover will launch on July 20th from Cape Canaveral. It’s scheduled to land on the Red Planet on February 18, 2021.
The rover, which is the same size as an SUV, is looking for potentially habitable environment and look for evidence of long-dead Mars life. It will also collect pristine samples which will be brought back to Earth but not until 2031.
The Mars Perseverance Rover will have a small helicopter attached to it which will test flights into the Martian sky.
