Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors 11-year old Mihika Joshi.  Mihika noticed that Memorial Day came and went pretty quietly this year because of Covid-19 so she wanted to do something to show appreciation for and to honor Veterans so she put a plan into action.  She approached her town council with the idea of banners around town honoring local Veterans.  She got support from the town, local businesses and the local American Legion.  This isn’t her first volunteer project.  Mihika helps the local food bank and loves being involved in causes to help Veterans, the fight against hunger and protecting the environment.  She says, “I enjoy doing things to make the world a better place”.  Thank you Mihika for your passion and wanting to be a light.
