Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors U.S. Army Veteran Scott Partan. In the Army, Scott had purpose, after the Army, Scott found himself a little lost and lacking purpose, until he took over as the Director of the outdoor programs in his hometown. He says there are boundless adventures waiting outside and he believed he could probably help some kids going through their own stuff. Every year about 2500 kids participate for free in a range of activities from in-class education to days-long hiking trips where the kids are paid to help maintain hiking trails. Thank you Scott for your inspiration and guidance and thank you for your service.
