Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors 12-year old Kolton Conrad and Marine Veteran Steven Rhonemus. Kolton has recently started watching Youtube videos about finding lost treasure, then, on a 4th of July kayak trip with his dad, Kolton found a dog tag that belonged to Steven Rhonemus. Kolton was excited about the find because he has been wanting to join the Armed Forces ever since his Aunt did a decade ago. So, Kolton began his search to return the dog tag to Steven’s family. After some internet sleuthing, he was able to return them to Steven’s daughter, a daughter Steven never met because she was born months after his death. Thank you Kolton for doing a good thing and thank you Steven for your service.
