The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association has suspended its fall sports activities until January 1st, 2021.
The conference includes Pittsburg State University, Emporia State University and Fort Hays State University in Kansas.
The conference, which is headquartered in Kansas City, said it is looking at allowing a limited number of football, volleyball, men’s soccer and women’s soccer activities in the spring.
The conference said the decision was made for the health and well-being of the athletes, coaches, administrators and communities with regard to the coronavirus pandemic. All NCAA athletically-related activities, including practices, can continue as long as they meet NCAA policy guidelines.
