The man killed in a west Wichita crash Saturday afternoon is identified as 94-year-old Ralph Hunt, of Wichita.
A crash involving two pickups and a car was reported at 17th and West, around 3:15 p.m. Saturday. First responders tried to revive Hunt but he passed away at the scene.
Police said Hunt was driving west on 17th, and was hit by two pickups being driven south on West. The drivers of the trucks are ID’d as a 22 and 17-year-old male. A 15-year-old passenger in Hunt’s car has injuries described as serious but not life-threatening. The 17-year-old pickup drive’s injuries were described as minor.
According to police, it’s believed the drivers of the pickups were traveling at a high speed at the time of the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
