Machinists Union members have voted to accept a new contract with Textron Aviation.
Union members met at Century II on Saturday to hear about the contract and then vote. A majority of the members voted to ratify the four-year contract, which provides for wage increases of two to three percent each year and a choice of four health plans. The contract goes into effect Monday.
Textron president and CEO Ron Draper issued a statement saying the company’s future “continues to be strengthened by the dedication of our world-class workforce.”
