It’s been a few days now since Thomas Rhett won/tied for Entertainer of the Year with Carrie Underwood.

Still can’t believe last night was real 🙌🏼 Would like to spend some time thanking every single person that has had a hand in my journey. From my family- Lauren, Willa, Ada and Lennon this is all for you every single day. My friends that have been there since college- my dad, Rhett Akins, who has been my biggest cheerleader and favorite co-writer since I was old enough to hold a guitar – to my Mom and Stepdad, whose love and unwavering support has made this dream possible – to my publisher, Ben Vaughn, who believed in me first – to Allison Jones and Scott Borchetta for taking a chance on a 19 year old kid in the Big Machine Records conference room.
