Star Spangled Salute: A World War II Veteran Receives One Of The Military Polices Highest Honor

Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors 95-year old World War II Army Veteran Frank Cohn.  Frank was born in Germany and grew up during Hitler’s rise to power.  He and his family escaped from the horrors of the Holocaust era in Germany to New York City where he was then drafted by the Army.  Frank was assigned to work as an intelligence agent with the 12th Army Group and he was sent back to Germany where he interrogated Nazis arrested for war crimes. Frank said when he left Germany he was a victim, when he returned he was in charge and it felt pretty good to go back. On Tuesday Frank will receive the Order of the Marechaussee from the Military Police Regiment Association, one of their highest honors.  Congratulations Frank and THANK YOU for your service.
