Wesley Healthcare Revising Visitation Policy As COVID-19 Cases Rise

Wesley Healthcare is making changes to their visitor policy, which is set to take effect at 6am on Monday, November 9th.

The policy will allow only one visitor per patient per day, as COVID-19 cases continue to rise.

All visitors to Wesley Woodlawn Hospital or Wesley Medical Center need to enter through the main entrances and sign in at the screening station. This will allow hospital staff to accurately track visitors for each patient.

Anyone that attempts to sign in afterward for that patient will be asked to leave.

All existing exceptions will remain in place:

  • Two parents/guardians for infants & pediatric patients
  • One parent/guardian overnight for pediatric, neonatal intensive care unit and neonatal special care unit patients
  • Two support people for women in labor (Both of whom can remain overnight)
  • Visitation for end-of-life scenarios, allowing two family members for two hours

No visitors will be allow in high-risk areas, and no visitors under 12 years old will be allowed in the hospital.
