Wichita’s 316 Hotel at 1011 Topeka Avenue will be purchased by Humankind Ministries in order to be converted into a 56 unit supportive permanent housing complex.

Currently called “The 316 Project,” the program will serve those who are homeless or are experiencing housing insecurity.

Funding for the project was provided by the City of Wichita and Continuum of Care.

The 316 Hotel was put up for sale earlier in the year due to underutilization.

$2 million in City project funds, HUD Cares Act funding, and private donations are being utilized to make the project possible.
