HealthCore offering free COVID tests Saturday

HealthCore Clinic is offering free COVID-19 tests this Saturday, December 19.

Testing runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., or until testing supplies run out, at the HealthCore building at 21st and Prince, just east of Grove. You do not have to have insurance or symptoms of the virus in order to get a test. These are saliva tests, which will only tell you if you currently have COVID-19. Results will be provided by the Molecular Diagnostics Lab on Wichita State University’s Innovation Campus.

If you plan on getting a test, HealthCore asks you to do the following:

  • Do not eat, drink, smoke, chew gum, or brush your teeth 30 minutes before you arrive.
  • Wear a mask, keep your windows up, and stay in your vehicle.
  • When it is your turn, a HealthCore Clinic team member will provide you step-by-step instructions.

HealthCore Clinic CEO, Teresa Lovelady, stated, “We are grateful to Wichita State University’s Molecular Diagnostics Lab for the opportunity to provide these tests to the community completely free of cost and without the requirement of insurance. They are an outstanding community partner and we are honored to be working together as neighbors to offer this resource.” She went on to say, “If you want a test, if you need a test, or you think you may have come in contact with the virus…come get tested. It’s convenient, it’s free, and it’s safe.”
