Walk-in COVID tests resume in west Wichita

The Sedgwick County Health Department’s walk-in COVID testing lab in west Wichita is back open after being closed for the holidays.

Free tests are available at the 4-H building, at 21st and Ridge, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30, and 12:30 to 4 p.m., with no appointment needed. If you plan on going to this site, there are signs to direct you to the correct entrance. These tests are available regardless of symptoms, and results should be back to you within 36 hours. These tests will only tell you if you currently have COVID-19, not if you have had it previously and recovered.

There are several other testing sites available through a partnership between he Kansas Department of Health and Environment and WellHealth. These site include Lot 1 of INTRUST Bank Arena’s parking lot, at the WSU Metroplex. For a full list of testing options, including antibody tests, follow the link below.
