Governor Kelly announced last week that the interior lights of the Kansas Statehouse will be left on the evening of January 19th (Tuesday) beginning at 4:30pm.
Kelly said that her administration is participating in a nationwide lighting ceremony that was initially planned by the Presidential Inaugural Committee to memorialize the lives lost in the country due to COVID-19.
On Tuesday, the Lincoln Memorial Reflection Pool will be lit up at 5:30pm Eastern Time.
The Inaugural Committee invites communities across the country to take part by lighting up buildings and ringing church bells at 5:30pm Eastern/4:40pm Central.
