Man in custody after body was found at a southeast Kansas home

A person of interest is in custody after the discovery of a body at a home in southeast Kansas.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation was looking for 37-year-old Nicholas Adam Carrillo after a body was found at his home in Arcadia on January 13th.   Crawford County deputies received a tip about a body at the home, and after they found a dead man in the back yard, Carrillo ran from the area.   He was arrested January 15th in Arcadia and was booked into the Crawford County jail.  He is being held for criminal desecration of a body, various drug charges and interference with law enforcement.

The KBI said the dead man was reported missing to police in Kansas City, Missouri.  Investigators believe the death occurred in Kansas City and police there will be investigating.
