Drive-thru COVID testing starting to close

You have several options for COVID testing in Sedgwick County over the coming week.

The Sedgwick County Health Department’s walk-in clinic will be operating Monday through Friday, 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 4 p.m. This is at the 4-H building at 21st and Ridge. Tests are free and no appointments are needed.

County health workers will run a few mobile testing sites next week. Tests at these sites are free, with no appointments needed. They’ll run from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., on a first come, first served basis. Mobile sites will be running on the following schedule:

  • February 9, Madison Avenue Central Park, 512 E. Madison Ave., Derby
  • February 10, St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 1350 N. Ash, Wichita,

WellHealth’s drive-through COVID testing sites are starting to close down. The HealthCore Clinic at 21st and Hillside will closed on February 6. The site at the WSU Metroplex is set to close February 12. It looks like the site at the Holy Savior Catholic Academy is still offering tests.  These tests are free but you do need an appointment. You can usually schedule a same-day appointment at GoGetTested.com. This will also show when testing sites will shut down.

There are several other clinics across the Wichita area offering tests, but they may not be free and you’ll need to call ahead for an appointment. Get the full list of clinics here. COVID-19 Testing Centers in Sedgwick County
