Remote Learning Grant Program Extended Through Spring 2021

Governor Kelly announced that programs that received funding for remote learning are now eligible to apply for extensions to support online education through Spring 2021.

The Remote Learning Grant program will continue to help address the learning and supervision needs of children who are not able to attend in-person classes due to the pandemic.

During the Fall 2020 term, 77 organizations across the state supported the remote learning needs of school-age children, funded by roughly $8.5 million from the Remote Learning Grants program.

New applications for funding are available to all KDHE-licensed early car and youth programs/facilities serving school-aged children, local programs with demonstrated experience developing and delivering education services such as schools, Boys and Girls Clubs, Parks and Recreation, 21st CCLC’s, and faith-based organizations.

The Kansas Children’s Cabinet and Trust Fund will continue to administer the funds, with applications being evaluated weekly. All funding must be rewarded and spent by May 28th, 2021.
