After federal and state approval of the Pfizer COVID vaccine for kids as young as 12, Sedgwick County’s health department says they are now offering the shots.
Vaccines for kids as young as 12 will be offered at the county’s walk-in sites. People under 18 will need parental approval to get the vaccine, and parents will have to sing a document verifying their child’s age if they don’t have any form of ID that shows age.
There is no difference in the vaccine that younger people will be getting, and they will still need at least one follow-up shot three weeks after their first dose.
