The Star Spangled Salute is presented by
Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Air Force Veteran Emerald Ralston. Emerald is having difficulty transitioning from military life to civilian life, so she’s undertaking an amazing and challenging experience thanks to the group Warrior Expeditions. Emerald plans to hike the entire length of the Appalachian Trail, all 2,185 miles of it. All in an effort to connect and recover. Warrior Expeditions is a Veteran nonprofit outdoor therapy program. They help Veterans transition from their wartime experiences through long distance outdoor expeditions. Enjoy your journey Emerald and THANK YOU for your service.
