Wichita Police Officer Charged with Sexual Exploitation of a Child

Wichita Police Officer Thomas Wallace was charged for one count of sexual exploitation of a child by the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office.

A determination of a second case involving a stalking allegation was scheduled for Tuesday, with the result currently pending.

Officials for the WPD learned of Wallace possibly stalking a woman he knew, stemming from an investigation by the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office that began late last year involving another WPD employee.

Wallace has been employed by the Wichita Police Department for 5 years and was placed on unpaid administrative leave on Tuesday, June 15th.
