The Kansas Bureau of Investigation arrest two people following an investigation into former employees of the Cloud County Jail.
A 40 year old woman was arrested on charges of theft, conspiracy to commit official misconduct, making false information, conspiracy to commit theft, and conspiracy to commit misuse of public funds and other charges. The woman was the Cloud County jail administrator in June 2019 with the KBI launched their initial investigation. She was booked into the Saline County Jail.
A 62 year old woman, the mother of the other suspect, was also arrested for theft.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and that additional arrests are expected.
