The Star Spangled Salute is presented by
Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors a loyal dog Sis and Vietnam War Navy Veteran James Diehl. James and his wife were fast asleep in their home in Mission Township, Kansas when around 11 at night, their dog started barking like crazy. James woke up to a fire that had started at the electrical box and he and wife got out just in time. The couple say they love their dog and are grateful Sis saved their lives. While the house is a total loss, James says “There are a lot of people that have got it a lot worse than I do” and he was just thankful to be alive. Good dog Sis and THANK YOU James for your service.
