A former Wichita teacher has been returned to face charges of inappropriate relations with a 13-year-old student.
31-year-old Christin Covel was arrested in Tulsa after charges were filed in December. She taught in Wichita schools from 2015 to 2020. She is charged with three counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child and one count of unlawful sexual relations. Her bond was set at $150,000 and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for January 27th.
Covel was working as a math teacher in Tulsa when she was arrested last week. She was returned to Wichita Tuesday for a court appearance.
