Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Veteran Michael Brown. In 2007 Michael was deployed in Mosul, Iraq when a grenade hit the military police unit truck he was in, completely severing his left foot above the ankle. Michael received numerous medals, including the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. Back home, a ground breaking is taking place on a brand new home for Michael, his wife and their 15-year-old daughter. It’s all thanks to a collaboration between singer Lee Greenwood, a local builder and the Helping a Hero organization. Workers are adapting his new home to have needed features that will restore his independence. Enjoy your new home Michael and THANK YOU for your service.
