Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Army Veteran William Manley and a special program helping him and other Veterans through music. In Oklahoma City the Veteran Affairs Medical Center has joined up with the OKC Rodeo Opry to give veterans guitar lessons. William was in band, marching band, jazz band, orchestra and choir all through high school. It’s why he originally joined the Army. After 22 years of service in the Army and having a hard time adjusting to civilian life due to his PTSD he is finally learning to play guitar in a way that he finds calming and helpful for his PTSD. Thank you to the Guitar for Vets program for helping Veterans through music and THANK YOU William for your service.
