Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors the organization Operation Rebuild Hope .  Founded in 2016, they are a veteran specific organization that in the last several years has worked on 20 homes.  At an average of 2 roofs a year, and the restoration of essential services like heat, water and electricity it was an important mission.  Then the pandemic hit and they lost half a million dollars in funding over night.  That didn’t stop the owner Patrick, who now funds these projects out of his own pocket.  After seeing Veterans in his community living without any water, walking several blocks, filling up buckets to flush their toilet, Patrick knew the work was critical.  Thank you Patrick for your passion to be a helper and to all the Veterans you’re helping, THANK YOU for your service.
