Wichita North High School was briefly locked down Friday afternoon after a student reported seeing someone with a gun in the school’s parking lot.
Officials said the school was locked down for about 15 minutes toward the end of the day. Wichita Police officer found a student with a BB gun and the lockdown was lifted.
Authorities said that while no one was in danger, the student who reported followed the “see something, say something” guidance correctly.
