CrimeStoppers Announces Award Approvals for the Month of April

Crime Stoppers of Wichita-Sedgwick County has approved $2,100 in reward money for tips that led to felony arrests during the month of April.

The rewards are to be paid to anonymous tipsters who provided information on wanted fugitives, thieves, and drug dealers. One tip resulted in the arrest of two documented gang
members, one of them a registered offender in possession of a firearm. Other tips led to seizures of drugs including fentanyl and hydrocodone.

As of now, Crime Stoppers of Wichita and Sedgwick County has helped law enforcement make 3,950 arrests, clear 4,786 cases and seize more than $1,000,000 worth of illegal drugs. More than 51,000 anonymous tips have been received since the programs inception in 1980.

Anyone with information regarding a crime that occurred in Sedgwick County is eligible to receive a reward by submitting a tip through Crime Stoppers by calling 316-267-2111 or online at www.stopcrime316.com. Tipsters are always anonymous – Crime Stoppers will never ask someone to identify themselves. If your information leads to an arrest in a felony case, you could be eligible to receive up to $2,500.
