One person suffered critical injuries in a crash in southwest Wichita in the late afternoon on Tuesday.
An individual driving a white Cadillac struck a fire hydrant at the corner of Pawnee and Fern just west of Seneca. The incident caused some localized flooding.
City crews responded to the scene and were able to cut off the water, however some homes in the area were reported to be without power for a couple of hours afterward.
No word on the cause of the crash or the extent of the person’s injuries.
