An inmate death is under investigation at the El Dorado prison.
29-year-old Cody Torbol passed away September 20. He was found unresponsive in his cell Tuesday evening and life-saving measures were not successful. The cause of Torbol’s cause of death is pending an autopsy report, though officials says his death was not related to COVID. The KDOC and KBI are investigating.
Torbol was serving a 221-month sentence for Aggravated Criminal Sodomy of a child. This case was from Riley County.
