Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Marine Veteran Larry Draughn.  On May 30th 2009, Larry was on his 5th combat mission in Afghanistan when he stepped on an IED.  He was lucky to be alive but the explosion resulted in the loss of both of his legs.  That was 13 years ago and Larry has accomplished a lot with the help of the non-profit Semper Fi & America’s Fund. Larry currently plays for Ohio Warriors Sled Hockey but his big goal is to play for Team USA in the next Paralympic games. Training hard for his shot, Larry said it would definitely be an amazing accomplishment and an honor to represent his country again in this way. Good luck Larry and THANK YOU for your service.
