A Sedgwick County judge has sentenced a Wichita woman to over 15 years in prison for her part in the death of a man in 2020.

22-year-old Ariana Cook pleaded no contest in November to charges of conspiracy to commit first degree murder and conspiracy to commit aggravated kidnapping.  She was one of four people charged in the case.

The body of 47-year-old Roy Haden was found in a car on July 7th, 2020 in the 1500 block of North Broadway.  Police believe he was killed in southeast Wichita and his body was left at the Broadway location.    Investigators said the killing was drug related.

Three other men were charged in the case.  21-year-old Carlos Delgado is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty last year to kidnapping and aggravated battery.  37-year-old Matthew Small and 36-year-old Lawrence Bailey are awaiting trial on murder and kidnapping charges.
